The so many great things about this place... But some minor changes would make massive improvements.
The food and service is second to none. The staff are very young but very friendly and personable. And if you are hungry afterwards then... my god you can really eat.
The burgers are fantastic, however one or two have not agreed with me. But what I have ordered I have really enjoyed.
Hubby tried the Taco fries, jalapeno smash and the mass monster. Of course over 3 sittings, I am not an animal.
Wifey tried the Cauli wings, the chicken Burger... And we wanted to try the vegan burger but sadly wasn't available at the time.
Personally I didn't like the Cauli wings, but wifey loved them.
Personally I felt the Cauli wings were over spiced and the coating was tacky. I feel a more of a light BBQ honey glaze would be better suited. This seemed to be a spicy soy based coating that I didn't like. Plus the coating was too thick, and the cauliflower floret was a little to hard, needed a few minutes more to soften.
I loved the jalapeno smash over the mass monster. And the buns are soft and fluffy made by breadski brothers, they are sweet and delicious brioche style.
So of course there will be things that you don't like. And things that you prefer over others.
It's all about personal preference, but the place has many amazing things to try. But there are still some improvements to be had... Not with the food mind you. At the top of the list is a seating space. Currently all the table and chair space is closed off. While others maybe able to go home in 10 minutes, we have a 30 minute drive, and nothing beats eating your burger hot and fresh.
Secondly the burger boxes are awful thin, I know they're called smash burgers, but I don't actually want my burger smashed inside the box.
Get a taller box... Such a shame for photographs when your burger comes out flat as a pancake. And sadly all of our photographs didn't do it the taste justice.
Maybe small points, but I think this will elevate this place too stratospheric.
A few other minor points... They need more soft drinks on offer. There are only 4 soft drinks. Desert options would be nice, and toilet are a must.
And finally a word of warning, food here has the portion control of the Americans. So come hungry or be careful as you can easily eat so much it hurts... Trust me our eyes always order.

Got the Honey I’m Loaded from High Street Kitchen and honestly, they’re the best loaded fries I’ve ever had. Unreal. Also had the Shredder Burger and it was top tier, full of flavour and properly filling.

Can’t recommend the place enough. Definitely going back.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
Absolutely outstanding, the best burger I've ever had!
My brother's friend recently opened High Street, and on his recommendation, my sister and I went to try it out. What a gem! Only 5 months open and already serving some of the most delicious food in Castlebar.
I ordered the jalapeño smashed burger and the sticky wings in Korean sauce, both were incredible. The burger was perfectly smashed with crispy edges, juicy patty, fresh jalapeños for that perfect kick, and toppings that all came together in every bite. Honestly, I can't remember eating a more delicious burger anywhere, it was that good!
The Korean sticky wings were addictive: crispy, coated in a rich, sweet-spicy sauce with sesame seeds and scallions, and came with a tasty dipping sauce on the side. Portions were generous, everything was fresh and hot, and the fries were spot on.
Great atmosphere, friendly service, and fantastic value. High Street is already one of my top spots in town – highly recommend! Can't wait to go back and try more of the menu. Best of luck to the team – you've got something special here!
